DEP Awarded the Export Excellence Awards for 2019-20

Chennai, April 25, 2022: Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) is greatly happy to mention that they have been awarded ‘Runner-Up’ (2nd Position) under the category Highest Annual Employment in EOU Unit –Engineering (2019-20) by Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs.

One of the Exports Promotion Council’s most valued annual gatherings is mainly to recognize the exceptional performance of Member Exporters each year, an arena where success is celebrated while hard work is acknowledged. This event brings to the spotlight the contributions of its member exporters, who have overcome several obstacles, the vagaries of global markets, and a slew of uncertainties to emerge as India’s foremost exporters. This year’s annual ceremony was graced by Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of India, Commerce & Industry, as the Chief Guest of the occasion. Along with the higher official, we had in attendance other eminent industry & government personnel from various segments.

DEP India Pvt. Ltd, specialized services provider for engineering, product and software development, consulting, and talent acquisition,came in second place in the category of Highest Annual Employment in EOU Unit –Engineering (2019-20). Smt Anurpiya Singh Patel, Hon’ble Minister, Commerce and Industry, presented the award to Basant Sharma, Vice President, DEP. The awards ceremony was conducted at the CTS Auditorium, MEPZ, Tambaram, Chennai, on April 25, 2022.

The award was given based on the organization’s yearly turnover accounting their exports. The major divisions includes IT/ITES, Electronics, and Engineering. Based on these categories& specializations, DEP was recognized under the ‘Engineering’ category with the second higher count of employment in exported services discipline.

Our Vice President, Basant Sharma proudly commented, “We are greatly delighted in receiving this award in the forefront of such honorable dignitaries. All of these were made possible with the help of collative support & hard work of every individual of the DEP family. It is a heartwarming moment for me to represent DEP in this stage amidst other major organizations and their representatives.  We are looking forward to continuing in this growth path and aim to achieve many more milestones as such that will motivate everyone in DEP Team to explore horizons”
